The brand-new Hampton by Hilton has opened its doors to the public on December 1st. Located just across from Guanacaste’s Daniel Oduber Airport, within the Solarium commercial complex.

The five-story project has added 100 quality rooms to Guanacaste’s hospitality offerings. It has already generated at least 61 direct job opportunities in the region, thanks to the commitment of the Costa Rican hotel group, HASA Hospitality Group. This new hotel represents a $10 million investment.

José Barboza, Corporate Director of HASA, expressed the vision for this hotel by stating, « Our company has decided to enter a rapidly growing market, that of Guanacaste, by adding an airport hotel under the Hampton brand and replicating the successful formula we have in our other establishment, the Hampton by Hilton San José Airport. »

The facilities at the Hampton by Hilton hotel are designed to maximize tourists’ enjoyment, featuring a restaurant, bar, and a pool that promise unforgettable vacations.

We are also proud to announce that the new Hampton hotel has been recognized by the Ecological Program in the sustainable construction category says Barboza. This prestigious label rewards the establishment’s commitment to minimizing its impact on society and the environment through the adoption of best practices during the construction phase.

Some noteworthy actions that led to this distinction include staff training in sustainability and best practices from the outset of their involvement in the project. Additionally, the use of LED technology for building lighting and a monthly air conditioning maintenance plan ensure minimal energy consumption.

In terms of water conservation, dry urinals and button-operated faucets have been installed, resulting in water savings of up to 30%. Furthermore, a preference for locally sourced construction materials has been adopted to reduce fuel consumption related to transportation.

The construction company has set a goal of treating 80% of generated waste by distributing it to approved managers, in addition to proper management, storage, and the delivery of chemicals.
