Fernando Alfaro

In his early years, Fernando worked up the ranks from a legal assistant to becoming a partner at Zurcher, Montoya & Zurcher (2000 - 2004). He went on to start his own legal practice at Pacheco, Odio & Alfaro as a founding partner (2004 - 2015), and later at Pragma Legal as a founding partner (2015 – 2020). At present he is an of counsel attorney at Facio & Cañas. He has developed vast experience in different areas, but more particularly in corporate matters and real estate transactions. In every case, he works hard to identify issues that need to be solved and to offer solutions to those issues to facilitate the closing of transactions and the continuance of his clients’ business. He has taken a leading role in transactions involving the participation of foreign investors in real estate and hotel projects and the entry and startup operations of foreign companies. His expertise includes advising national and multinational companies in corporate law, real estate, investment regimes, and mergers and acquisitions.
